What is IMEMS?
IMEMS, or the Industry and Manufacturing Emergency Management & Security system, is made up of features of MessageNet Connections to meet the unique needs of organizations in the industry and manufacturing fields.
How Does it Work?
A typical IMEMS integration is affordable, quick to install, and easy to use because the Connections platform it uses is designed to connect and work with technologies that are already deployed while leaving the system open to later additions. IMEMS can be used to enhance safety and security, to facilitate mass notification, and for daily announcements.
Daily & Emergency Use
IMEMS is designed to meet both the daily and emergency needs of any organization. Because the system is used for emergency and daily communications, it’s used every day, making it easier and faster for staff to send out notifications in the event of an emergency, saving more lives.
Features
Mass Communication
Messages can be sent out to large numbers of pagers, phones, email addresses, and computer pop-ups at one time.
Two-Way Radios
Connections can send voice or text-to-speech messages to two-way radios. The radios can be connected into the phone system, which can provide two-way communication if the contact is initiated by a phone message.
Cameras
MessageNet connects to cameras as well as surveillance systems already in place, to record and even to broadcast the data to computers or LCD screens. Recording and surveillance systems are unified unified as well.
PA Integration
IMEMS allows users to speak live, play a pre-recorded message, or use text-to-speech over your PA or giant voice system from anywhere. All PA messages, even speak-live messages, are stored for future accountability and replay.
Features
Audio/Visual PA
PoE signs can be used as both audio PA and visual PA devices, providing a written version of a spoken message. These signs feature LED scrolling text, high-intensity flashers, input/output contact closures, and text-to-speech capabilities with speakers for ADA-compliance.
Scrolling LED Indoor and Outdoor Signs
LED signs can display and scroll text announcements with controllable speed.
Computer Pop-up Instant Messaging
Highly visible scrolling messages can be sent directly to any network-connected PC or Mac and pop through all other active programs and non-password-protected screen-savers.
Text Messaging & Paging
Messages can be sent out to any number or combination of mobile phones, pagers and other text-messaging devices, alerting all staff, specific groups, or even just a single person.
Fire Panel Integration
IMEMS can integrate with existing fire panels to send alert messages based on customizable criteria that is configured in the system.
Location-Aware Signage
IMEMS supports location-aware digital signage that can intelligently provide different instructions to different areas of a building, giving people the most accurate information for their situation.
Exhaust/Ventilation Integration
IMEMS integrates with existing exhaust and ventilation systems to report statuses and alarms to other devices and personnel.
Automatic Shutoff Unification
IMEMS connects to machines with automatic shutoff and can report the alert to other devices as well as shut off other machines that would be affected by the damaged machine.
Unified Reporting
IMEMS keeps record of all alarms, alerts, messages, and data from all devices its connected to, for ease of use and unified reporting.
Designed for Loud Environments
IMEMS was designed with industry and manufacturing in mind, so the system is capable of both audio and visual communication, keeping in mind that the environment can often be very loud.
Other Advantages
